Grand Hotel Shumen is the largest hotel in the area. It was built in 1989 and is periodically renovated. It is located 90 km from the city of Varna, 130 km from Bourgas, 110 km from Ruse and 140 km from Veliko Tarnovo. The first two capitals of Bulgaria – Pliska and Veliki Preslav, as well as the well-known “Madarski Konnik” (The Horseman from Madara) are very close by.

The complex has a large free parking lot and a good Internet connection available to all guests. It is within walking distance of the city centre. There are two restaurants, a tavern, a summer garden, a lobby bar, two conference halls, and a gym.
